Call for Entries
DEADLINE FOR ENTRIES
Entries must be received by noon on May 3, 2024. Entries will not be accepted after this time.
ELIGIBILITY
Members (General Contractors and Specialty Contractors) of the Houston Chapter, Associated General Contractors may submit any project(s) completed between April 1, 2022 and March 31, 2024.
Projects submitted must be located in the AGC Houston Chapter territory. Counties include Austin, Brazoria, Brazos, Chambers, Colorado, Fort Bend, Freestone, Galveston, Grimes, Harris, Houston, Leon, Madison, Matagorda, Montgomery, Polk, Robertson, San Jacinto, Trinity, Walker, Waller, Washington, Wharton and the west half of Liberty.

SUBMISSION CRITERIA:
Projects will be evaluated according to the following criteria:
Contribution to the community and/or environment
Safety record
Quality of the management process in serving the client
Completion within time and budget factors
Challenges presented/addressed
Why this project should be considered for an award
VIDEO SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:
Explain why your project deserves to win the APEX award.
Keep the video a maximum of three minutes long.
Use only your cell phone to record the video - hold it sideways for better quality.
You can use the following elements in your video to explain a challenge and or success on your project:

JUDGING CRITERIA:
Judges are owners, architects, engineers, and industry partners from the Houston community and beyond. The judging process in online only and will occur May 17-24, 2024.
AWARDS
There will be up to three APEX award winners in each category: Gold, Silver or Bronze. Please note that not all project categories will receive Gold, Silver, and Bronze awards.
A project can be entered in up to two categories and there is no limit (per company) to the number of entries in one category.
Winning projects will be honored and featured during the APEX Awards Gala on September 27, 2024
All submitted projects will be highlighted in the program and on digital displays at the Gala.
CATEGORIES
The APEX Committee may re-categorize any entry for cause with proper notification. The committee may also redefine categories to accommodate high entry counts.

ENTRY FEE
EACH ENTRY MUST INCLUDE:
Completed Online APEX Entry Form: Click "Submit Now" below to begin the process. Be sure to save your work. To start a new entry form, simply click the "Home" button to access this page.
Uploads: During your online submission process, you will be prompted to upload required project photos, video, and company logo.
Payment: Payment is required for each project submission. Simply click "Add to Cart" once you have provided all of the required information and follow the steps to checkout.
Cost: $400 per entry
APEX AWARDS SUBMISSION DEADLINES
Entries must be received by noon on May 3, 2024. Entries will not be accepted after this time. Payment for complete number of entries submitted must be received by 5:00 p.m. on May 3, 2024
